More wattage density means we have to manage the heat inside the fixture even more carefully. And we make sure the voltage is perfectly matched to your home’s supply, so the lamp runs clean and steady, without any frustrating voltage drops or hot spots at the terminals.
What’s Inside: Quartz, Coating, and the Right Connections
We chose quartz envelopes for a reason. They handle the shock of going from cold to blazing hot without cracking, and they keep their electrical strength even when they’re wet. Inside, a halogen cycle keeps the filament stable, which means a longer life and consistent heat output over time. We also added a special coating on the quartz. It helps manage the UV and IR, so your bathroom finishes stay protected, and the glare is kept to a minimum. And the connectors? They’re the unsung heroes. We went with an R7s base because it gives you a solid, two-contact connection. It clicks in cleanly, doesn’t loosen from vibration, and keeps that joint bone-dry.
Why It Works So Well in the Damp
In the bathroom, a heater has to be ready on your command, and it has to stay safe, year after year. So, we kept the electronics completely isolated from the envelope and the outer housing. The quartz and the sealed joints block moisture from getting in, which means there’s simply no path for electricity to travel across a wet surface.
